About

This New Jersey state contract is for Volvo VHD tandem axle dump trucks with separate line items for snowplows and related accessories.  The individual purchaser (municipalities, government agencies etc.) may choose from any of these line items when picking out their truck.  This truck is designed to be the ultimate snow fighting truck.  The base unit on this state contract is a Volvo VHD tandem axle cab/chassis with a 13′ Monroe RDS stainless steel radial dump spreader combination body.  This body acts as a regular dump truck for the majority of the year, then, when the weather gets icy, take out the conveyor cover and the body easily turns into a salt spreader.  This body also includes a Force America central hydraulic system with 6100 controller.  The next line item is a Monroe HDBW heavy duty benching wing plow.  The next line item after that is a Monroe MS 3510 underbody scraper.  After that is a line item for a Monroe electric pre-wet system.  These line items can be modified or eliminated to fit your exact needs.
